Pediatric and Adolescent Occupational Therapist

Des Leeson graduated from Rockhurst University in December of 2023 with her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Prior to and during her doctoral studies, she gained valuable experience in healthcare administration at KC:DT. Des is drawn to the DIR/Floortime Framework because of its emphasis on understanding each child's unique profile, building meaningful connections, and supporting their development through playful interactions within their natural environment. She believes in fostering strong partnerships with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to provide comprehensive and holistic care that addresses the unique needs of each child. In her free time, Des enjoys being outdoors, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.
